For years and years, Apple’s laptops have been front runners in the market. They are vital devices for all students and professionals to meet their everyday tasks smoothly and seamlessly.

The MacBook lineup was first introduced to the market in the early 90s. Since then, it has witnessed many new conventions and models that have improved over time.

Today, we will take you on a journey to understand the evolution and the many models of the MacBook Air 2020 and the latest models in the lineup for you to explore further.

Brief Journey Through The Lineup Since The Introduction Of The MacBook Air 2020

MacBook Air was first introduced to the world in 2008, and it was the instant talk of the tech world due to it being the thinnest notebook ever. Besides the thinness as a prominent feature, the MacBook Air also came with features like a multi-touch trackpad with gestures. The display was a 13-inch LED screen with a backlit keyboard and a built-in iSight video camera.

MacBook Air M1 2020

The MacBook Air M1, introduced in 2020, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro M1 have Apple’s new 8-core M1 chip with either a 7 or 8-core GPU. The main catch of the product was that its processor was five times faster, with SSD performance twice as fast as its early version.

In addition, the version came with a fanless design and the famous magic keyboard offered by Apple. The available colours are Silver, Space Grey, and Gold.

MacBook Pro 14 Inch And 16 Inch M1 2021 (Fifth-Generation MacBook Pro)

The exciting thing about the redesigned 16-inch version and the MacBook Pro 14-inch is that they have a turbocharged version of Apple’s M1 processor, which is both the M1 Pro and M1 Max.

You can get either version with any of the processors, even though the one with M1 Max might be a little more expensive. This design has no Touch Bar for the physical function keys. It has a 1080p HD camera, six speakers, and other attractive features.

MacBook Air M2 2022 (Fourth-Generation MacBook Air)

After the M1 processor, the M2 processor was introduced with four colours and a 13-inch liquid retina display. It was available in colours such as Silver and Space Gray; now, two more colours, Midnight and Starlight, are also available.

In addition, the newer lineup has a four-speaker sound system, 1080p HD camera, physical function keys and an advanced fast charging feature with an optional 67-watt USB-C power adapter.
